Since the dawn of time, mankind has had a need to communicate and to make himself understood. From prehistoric scrawls on cave walls, to communicating over vast distances using the art of smoke signals. From the first written word to the discovery of papyrus and then onto the printing press when one could finally reach the masses. Telegrams, the postal service, Morse code sending our words further than ever before. Then the electronic age dawned, heralding the advent of telecommunications such as the telephone and the television which could send and receive messages from as far away as the moon. Yet mankind still strived to be heard, and out of this desire was born the internet. And in the beginning it was without form, and void, but gradually it grew, linking millions of businesses and homes world-wide so that knowledge and understanding could be shared beyond the boundaries that had thwarted us so often in the past.
